Katmerciler, the leader of Turkish vehicle mounted equipment sector, became the 247th largest exporter of Turkey. The company rose 415 places from its 662nd place in the “Largest Export Companies” list of TEA in last year. Katmerciler took 31st place in “Automotive Sector” listing with an increase of 131 per cent in its export volume.
Katmerciler Arac Ustu Ekipman (KATMR), the leader of Turkish vehicle mounted equipment sector and the only representative of this sector in stock market, became the 247th largest exporter of Turkey according to year 2012 export figures. The company managed to rise 415 places in one year from 662th place to 247th place in the annually published “Largest Export Companies” list of Turkish Exporters Assembly (TEA).
The 131 per cent rise in the company’s export volume played an important part in this success of Katmerciler. The company has increased its export volume from 27.2 million USD in 2011 to 62.7 million USD in 2012. Also strengthening its position in the “Automotive Sector” with this rapid rise, Katmerciler became the 31st largest exporter in this sector.
Katmerciler also became one of the fastest export business developing companies in last year in the list of TEA.
The aim is to become a regional brand
In his comments on publication of TEA listings Furkan Katmerci, Deputy Chairman of Katmerciler Executive Board, noted that as an export-oriented company their highest priority objective is to enter the top 250 in TEA listing, and went on to say “We are proud to have achieved this objective by our 2012 results.”
Noting that they have exceeded their 2012 targets in all aspects like income, profitability and export, Katmerci gave voice to following sentiments:
